photo Rana Rines (Director)

Originally from the Bay Area, Rana began her creative career in junior high with BTC, a youth musical theater company that became her home away from home. She went on to graduate with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Rana has been teaching since 2008, and was ecstatic to find Music Together® in 2016. She coaches actors, singers, dancers and musicians, teaches performing arts classes, and directs youth productions and adult theatre.  Oh, and she's also the director of Music Together Tamalpais :D

Rana feels that introducing young children to music is of the utmost importance to the future of the planet, and to each individual's growth and well-being.

Rana is a registered Music Together and Canta y Baila Conmigo® teacher, and was awarded Certification Level 1 Music Together® in 2019 for outstanding achievement in teaching and articulation of the program.

Beth has been teaching Music Together classes for more than 10 years and is pretty sure she has the best job in the world.  She was lucky enough to be born into a musical family, and performed duets with her father as young as 4 years old, standing on a chair beside him and his guitar so they could share a mic.  Piano lessons, children's choirs, highschool choirs, and band practices followed.

After attending and loving music classes with her daughter, Beth accepted the challenge from the teacher to do the Music Together teacher training.  She was hired immediately by a local Music Together director and knew she had found her calling.  Since then, Beth has taught herself to play the guitar and ukulele and strives to bring creative and engaging ideas to her classes.

Beth's passion is sharing music with families. Her teenage daughter has a variety of medical and developmental disabilities, and music has been the constant platform holding her up through the trials of such extreme parenting.  Her experience with children, teens, and adults with special needs provides a unique perspective and an effective approach toward classroom management, musical strategies for parenting, and generally living a joyful life.
